Terms of Service and Sale

These terms govern access to mapletest.app, account creation, and the purchase of premium digital content. By creating an account or placing an order, you accept these terms in full. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

1. Scope

These terms define the rules that apply to the services offered by MapleTest, including free content, your personal account, and paid premium offerings.

2. The Service

MapleTest provides study resources and progress-tracking tools for the Canadian Citizenship Test, including practice questions, explanations, flashcards, mock exams, and review tools. Some features are reserved for users with an active subscription. The key characteristics of each plan are shown before purchase.

3. Account and Security

You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your credentials confidential. Any action taken from your account is presumed to be made by you. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us promptly at the address in section 12.

4. Orders, Prices, and Payment

Prices are shown in Canadian dollars (CAD) at the time of order. Payments are processed by a secure provider (Stripe). Placing an order constitutes acceptance of these terms and an obligation to pay. A confirmation is sent by email, and a receipt can be provided on request.

5. Digital Content and Your Right to Cancel

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. However, where you ask to start using the premium content immediately, you agree that supply begins at once. In line with regulation 37, by requesting immediate access and acknowledging this, you consent to the supply starting and accept that you lose the right to cancel once access has been provided. See our Refund Policy for how we handle cancellations and refunds in practice.

6. Term, Cancellation, and Suspension

You may request closure of your account at any time. For access already paid, it remains open until the end of the current period unless there is a serious breach of these terms. MapleTest may suspend or terminate an account without notice in the event of fraud, abuse, or breach of these terms.

7. Intellectual Property and Prohibited Use

All content on the site (questions, explanations, exercises, text, graphics, and code) is protected by copyright and remains the exclusive property of MapleTest or its partners. Access to the service grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right of use. The following are prohibited: reproducing, copying, or distributing content for commercial or public purposes; automated data extraction (scraping, bots, scripts, or similar); sharing your credentials or using one account for several people; and any attempt at unauthorised access to the systems or databases of the site.

8. Quality of Digital Content and Liability

Under applicable Canadian consumer protection law, digital content we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. MapleTest is an independent study platform. It does not replace the official Canadian citizenship test and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of Canada, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), or any government body. Results obtained on the platform have no official value and do not guarantee a pass at the official test. Content is provided for informational and educational purposes. Except for liability that cannot be excluded by law (including your statutory rights and liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence), we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses arising from use of the service.

9. Availability

We use reasonable means to keep the service available. Temporary interruptions may occur for maintenance, improvement, or security.

10. Personal Data

How personal data is collected and processed is detailed in our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These terms are governed by French law, as the operator is established in France. This does not deprive you, as a consumer resident in Canada, of the protection afforded by the mandatory rules of the consumer law of your province or territory. In the event of a dispute, please contact us first to seek an amicable solution. If we cannot resolve it, you may pursue the matter before the competent courts, and Canadian consumers retain the right to bring proceedings locally where the law allows.

12. Seller Identification and Contact

The site is operated by MapleTest, a micro-enterprise registered in France, SIREN 933 278 020. Full operator and host details appear in the Legal Notice. For any question about these terms, write to contact@mapletest.app.
